M+

M+ is a new museum of visual culture in the West Kowloon Cultural District of Hong Kong. It opened on 12 November 2021. Our designs were commissioned for a website to act as a virtual museum whilst the physical building was under construction.

The design naturally had to display art from the permanent collection in a dynamic and confident manner, but it also had to accommodate longform essays and in-depth thought pieces discussing contemporary art and we used a variety of interactive components to engage readers to explore challenging content.
